Since 1977, Dresdner Robin has successfully conducted numerous environmental studies and investigates throughout the northeastern United States.
These studies include:

Phase 1 ESA's and Preliminary Assessments

Dresdner Robin routinely conducts Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and PA's for legal, financial and commercial clients throughout the northeast United States and has conducted over 300 such assessments. These assessments are conducted in accordance with the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment Process, E 1527-05 and the New Jersey Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (TRSR) (N.J.A.C. 7:26E). The objective of these assessments is to identify evidence of areas of environmental concern (i.e., Aboveground Storage Tanks [ASTs], Underground Storage Tanks [USTs], Asbestos Containing Material [ACM], etc.); recognized environmental conditions; and/or readily discernable evidence of a discharge of hazardous substances at a property. The knowledge of such conditions is critical to assessing environmental liabilities and the conditions of sale of the property.

Dresdner Robin also conducts follow-up Phase II Site Assessments where required or requested by clients. Subsurface investigations are conducted for soil and groundwater to assess the nature and extent of contamination and associated environmental liability. Our staff is experienced in conducting these investigations in accordance with the New Jersey Tech Regs. (N.J.A.C. 7:26E) and USEPA protocols.

Field Investigations

Dresdner Robin's geologists, engineers and environmental scientists have extensive field investigation experience. We are intimately familiar with USEPA- and NJDEP-approved investigation procedures, laboratory analytical methods and modeling and statistical analysis techniques. In New Jersey SI/RI's conducted at project sites must be conducted in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:26E Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (TRSR). These regulations clearly outline the minimum requirements to be undertaken at each phase of investigation through remediation. Dresdner Robin uses modern digital acquisition and analysis techniques including data loggers (for aquifer tests), GPS for pick-up of field test locations and GIS for spatial analysis.

Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Services

Dresdner Robin provides a wide range of services to owners and operators of aboveground (AST's) and underground storage tanks (UST's). We have NJDEP - certified Clean-up Stars, UST Subsurface Evaluators and Closure professionals with expertise in implementing tank management programs, investigating spills and releases, performing audits of storage facilities, supervising the removal of UST's, the decontamination and decommissioning of AST's and in the investigation and cleanup of contaminated soils and groundwater associated with active or former UST/AST sites.

Hazardous/Solid Waste Management & Disposal Services

Dresdner Robin has assisted clients with active hazardous waste management facilities in complying with solid waste and RCRA regulations. Waste management services performed by the Dresdner Robin have included waste stream characterization and disposal services, facility assessments and corrective action measures.

Site Assessment and Remediation Services

Successful hazardous waste site remediation begins with the accurate collection of field data and the compilation of a reliable Site Conceptual Model. Our Site Investigation programs range from site reconnaissance to the design and execution of elaborate investigation programs. Our investigation specialists utilize both past experience and state-of-the-art equipment to determine the physical characteristics of the site (model) and to assess the presence of contamination. Our hydrogeologists design and supervise the installation of monitoring wells, and employ computer models to assess the migration of contaminants. We conduct remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to evaluate alternative designs, and we prepare Remedial Action Workplans (RAW) and contract drawings and specifications for the remedial work.

Ecological Studies and Wetlands Delineation

Dresdner Robin has staff with extensive experience with wetland delineations, jurisdictional determinations, wetland permitting, wetland restorations, and restoration monitoring projects. This experience also includes design and planning of restoration efforts encompassing a variety of ecological settings. Dresdner Robin's staff has been involved in ecosystem evaluation projects including work at CERCLA and RCRA sites and the NJ Pinelands Commission. Ecological studies performed include: benthic macro-invertebrate surveys, fish tissue sampling, stream morphology studies; wetland habitat assessments utilizing Wetland Evaluation Technique (WET) methodology, wildlife and ornithological surveys for Threatened and Endangered Species Studies, and stream water and sediment quality sampling.

Regulatory Compliance and Permitting

Dresdner Robin has extensive experience in assisting public agencies and private developers in procuring permits and satisfying regulatory requirements relative to redevelopment projects and grant programs. We are experienced in the determination of the need for and preparation of the following type of permits and approvals:

This includes the preparation of NEPA documentation such as Categorical Exclusion Documents, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements. Dresdner Robin has over 20 years experience in the preparation of the technical studies necessary to support the conclusions presented in these documents, including community impact assessments, ecological assessments, wetlands delineation, hazardous waste screenings, environmental justice assessments and cultural resource assessments.
