Dresdner Robin's principals, each with over 20 years of technical and project management experience, direct a professional staff of engineers, landscape architects, geologists, environmental scientists, planners, surveyors, and GIS specialists. Their collective backgrounds include extensive work with finance, insurance, and the real estate industry as well as state and local governments and private development and industrial clients.
Mr. Frederick W. Worstell, P.E., President of Dresdner Robin, is recognized as an expert in his field for site development, environmental investigation, remedial design, construction management and regulatory affairs. A "brownfield" specialist, Fred has completed numerous commercial and residential projects on former industrial sites with soil and groundwater contamination. His list of engineering projects have included the design and coordination of major civil projects including roadway and interchange improvements, as well as water, storm-water and sewer infrastructure. Numerous development projects have been of regional impact requiring significant public review and negotiation with local, state and federal agencies.
Fred's environmental practice areas include sites impacted by a broad spectrum of soil and groundwater contamination, wetlands and endangered species. Prior to joining Dresdner Robin, Fred directed site development and engineering activities for Melvin Simon, a nationally recognized development company. Fred is a registered professional engineer in New Jersey, Connecticut, Indiana and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Duke University.
As Dresdner Robin's Director of Environmental Services, Mr. Geoffrey R. Forrest, P.G., C.P. Eng., has over 31 years of broad-based experience in the fields of civil, geotechnical, geological and environmental engineering. Throughout Geoff's career he has conducted numerous geological, geotechnical and environmental investigations related to transportation, mining, water supply and civil projects and commercial, residential and industrial developments. He has worked on a wide range of environmental projects including environmental impact assessments, hazardous waste investigations, landfills, contaminated site assessments and manufacturing and mining facilities.
Most of his work has been conducted under the USEPA or State Agency lead and includes hazardous waste screenings, environmental assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial alternatives analysis, remedial designs, preparation of Remedial Action Work plans, and Deed Notices etc. He currently serves as Project Director for property acquisition projects conducted under on-going Task Order Agreements for Hazardous Waste Services Statewide, NJDOT-Bureau of Environmental Services and as Project Director for various projects executed under an on-going Task Order Agreements for Remedial Investigations/Remedial Alternative Analysis Studies at NJDOT Maintenance Facilities. Geoff is certified by the Institution of Engineers in Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Geology from RMIT.
Mr. Jeffrey D. Reeves, P.E., Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Reeves has over 23 years of experience including the preparation of commercial site plans and major subdivision design, local roadway design, highway design, preparation of right-of-way acquisition plans, storm water management, roadway interchange design, regulatory permit preparation and preparing utility relocation plans. He also has experience with design of major transit facilities, from park-n-ride commuter lots to train storage yards. Mr. Reeves was Lead Civil Engineer for several design-unit sections of the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit System.
HBLRTS is a 20.5 mile light rail corridor that extends from Bayonne to the Vince Lombardi Park-Ride along the New Jersey Turnpike. His duties included the design of civil facilities for the rail corridor, roadway improvements, design of park-ride commuter lots and drainage systems. He also prepared the civil standards, directive drawings and general civil specifications. Jeff is a registered professional engineer in New Jersey. He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Mr. Donald Walby has over 37 years of survey experience including an extensive background in boundary and route surveying for development parcels, roadways and bridges. He directs Geodetic and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) control surveys of roadways, railways, right-of-way parcel mapping and bridges. Other areas of expertise include traverse and boundary analysis, forensic surveying. He is a recognized expert in land boundary matters and has provided expert testimony for numerous municipal clients and title insurance companies. Mr. Walby has co-authored the legal text Madison on New Jersey Real Property Boundary Law. Mr. Walby possesses comprehensive computer experience including the use of data collectors for the acquisition of field data and the reduction of same. He has prepared boundary analysis and final drafted mapping using Pac Soft, Soft desk, and AutoCAD software.
As co-founder of Dresdner Robin, Mr. Edward Robin, LLB, was Principal of the firm until his semi-retirement in February 2001. During his retirement years Mr. Robin has worked, and continues to do so, as the Principal Regulatory Specialist for the Company. Mr. Robin has over 30 years of experience providing environmental and planning services to public and private clients. This experience includes: Environmental Assessment, Urban Planning, Environmental Auditing, Hazardous Waste Management, Environmental Permitting, Coastal Zone Management, and Capital Budgeting.
He has prepared environmental impact statements for large scale development projects, developed and conducted Environmental Audit programs for major corporations, conducted seminars on waste management, and directed site selection studies for governmental agencies and private companies. Mr. Robin directed the preparation of the Handbook of Interagency/Intergovernmental Coordination for Environmental Planning (IICEP) for the U.S. Air Force. This handbook is the basic document used by all levels of the Air Force to assist in coordinating its environmental responsibilities. Previously, Mr. Robin served as Director of Comprehensive Planning for New York City.
