Chronological History of Dresdner Robin


1978 – Dresdner and Associates was founded by Allen Dresdner in Summit, New Jersey. The company initially focused on environmental assessments of land development in the suburbs of NJ and PA and impact assessments for nuclear power plants. Company size: 4 people.


1982 – Ed Robin joined the company.


1985 – The company moved its operation to Journal Square in Jersey City. Major project was the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Newport.


1987 – Dresdner and Associates moved its operation to 30 Montgomery Street, Jersey City and changed its name to Dresdner Robin and Associates.


1991 – The Company changed its name to Dresdner Robin Construction Group.


1992 – Dresdner Robin was awarded the first NJDOT contract.


1994 – Company changed its name to Dresdner Robin Environmental Management, which is currently the legal entity for Dresdner Robin.


1995 – Dresdner Robin was awarded the first NYSDOT air quality monitoring contract.


1996 – Fred Worstell joined the company and expanded its capabilities to include site engineering and civil design services. Company size: 30 people. Our founder, Allen Dresdner suddenly passed away.


1998 – The company moved its operations to 371 Warren Street in Jersey City. Notable development projects were the Hudson Exchange Project, Avalon Cove and Port Liberte.


2001 – Ed Robin semi retired and Fred Worstell became President of Dresdner Robin. Firm awarded the prestigious 30 Hudson Project.


2003 – Dresdner Robin registers the trademark “Re Engineering the Urban Environment”.


2004 – Company size: 38 people. Services are expanded to include site engineering, geology, environmental sciences, environmental and land use planning, geographic information systems, landscape architecture and land surveying.


2005 – Camden Office was established March 1, 2005.


2006 – Asbury Park Office was established in November, 2006. Company size: 47 people.


2007 – Hanson Engineering joins Dresdner Robin on Jan 1, 2007. Company size: 66 people.
