Edward Robin Scholarship
In an effort to help young men and women
representing the communities we serve gain entrance to the
field of environmental science, planning, surveying, or engineering,
Dresdner Robin offers a scholarship for current of former
local high school students. The scholarship is named after
company co-founder Edward Robin and is offered annually.
Criteria
Candidates will be assessed using the following:
- Must graduate from a high school in Jersey City, Camden,
Wayne or Asbury Park.
- Must have an average GPA of 3.3 on 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
or Higher.
- An applicant must be either currently enrolled or accepted
as a student at an accredited public or private university,
college or community or junior college in the United States
studying in the field(s) of Civil Engineering, Environmental
Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Surveying
or Urban Planning.
- Must be a volunteer member at a charitable organization.
- Must submit a 1000 word essay related to the field of
study, why they wish to pursue this field, and why they
should be chosen as a recipient
- Each scholarship recipient to submit a stamped transcript
from High School and/or College currently attending.
- Essays and transcripts must be submitted by May 1, of
the preceding school year.
- Neither the Scholarship Fund nor Donor may place a restriction
on applicants as to age, race, sex, creed or country of
national origin.
Scoring
Scholarship will be awarded based on the following:
- 70% – GPA
- 20% – Essay
- 10% – Volunteer Activities
