The Cove Redevelopment Area consists of approximately
four (4) upland acres along approximately 4,200 lf of waterfront
frontage on the west side of Bayonne. A mixed use area is
proposed along the waterfront. Additionally, an extension
of the existing West Shore Drive is proposed connecting between
18th and 21st streets to provide improved vehicular circulation
and waterfront access. A walkway along the shore line is proposed
on the west side of the roadway to interconnect existing open
spaces, including walkways, north and south of the Redevelopment
Area.
Dresdner Robin plays a key role in the planning and development
of the project; providing redevelopment planning, waterfront
development expertise, zoning analysis, wetlands mapping and
investigation, regulatory permitting, roadway design, site
engineering and landscape and lighting design.
As the project planners, Dresdner Robin developed planning
documentation outlining the need to designate the area in
need of redevelopment as well as develop the Redevelopment
Plan for the Area.
As the project engineers, Dresdner Robin will coordinate and
design all utility extensions to the complex including gas,
water, sanitary, storm sewer, electric and telecommunications
services. Dresdner Robin’s innovative design solutions
will utilize otherwise wasted pieces of property to provide
water quality and storage solutions complying with the NJDEP’s
latest storm water management regulations. As the project
Landscape Architects, Dresdner Robin provided overall site
design including the design of the waterfront walkway system,
lighting, decorative paving, a custom design railing and mixed
plantings.
