In the Riverbend District in Harrison, NJ, Steel Works is a transformative redevelopment of a 35-acre aggregation of underutilized industrial buildings. Dresdner Robin’s multi-year role in the Riverbend District started with site remediation activities and the planning and design of a new six-block roadway grid including, utility, and roadway design. Steel Works’ industrial-looking apartment architecture is inspired by its prime location in this former industrial area. Our services included site design, NJDEP Land Use Permitting, municipal and utility approvals as well as extensive on-site and streetscape design.
Our landscape architecture team designed a pair of inviting courtyards for this complex and its residents. Our courtyard design complements the industrial architectural theme of the building and included a heated outdoor pool, a pet park, an outdoor movie screen, and a second courtyard with fireside lounge and bar.
