WOODLAND PARK, N.J. – November 8, 2018 – Dresdner Robin had a big night at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Excellence Awards on Nov. 8. The Jersey City-based land use consultancy was recognized for its comprehensive services on three Jersey City projects.
A banquet to celebrate the award winners was held at the luxurious Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, N.J. Here, Dresdner’s team discussed its work on several regional projects, reinforcing its strong industry presence.
ULI recognizes outstanding and transformational land use developments, best practices and creative visioning. Its ULI Northern New Jersey (NNJ) Excellence Awards specifically salute the highest caliber of projects and people in the region.
Dresdner was a part of a project team that took home the Residential Award for Jersey City’s “The Ellipse,” a 42-story luxury high rise residential building located at a former pier on Jersey City’s Hudson River Waterfront. Dresdner performed a broad range of land development engineering and regulatory compliance services.
The winner of the Public/Private Partnership Award on the evening was 23 University Place Boulevard in Jersey City. Dresdner provided land development services for the endeavor situated along West Side Avenue and within the New Jersey City University – West Campus Redevelopment Area. Dresdner highlighted the “extensive coordination necessary with the university and the design team.”
What’s more, work on the VYV Tower (1A) in Jersey City was also rewarded by the ULI. The site, Hudson Exchange West Block 1, is a mixed-use development consisting of two high-rise residential towers including 853 residential units, nearly 21,000 square feet of retail space, a multi-level parking garage and a rooftop amenity space. Dresdner called it the first step in the transformation of an 18-acre retail center into a modern, vibrant urban neighborhood. The company provided surveying, planning, engineering and landscape architecture services.
Dresdner Robin President Fred Worstell took to the stage alongside the wider project team accepting the N.J. Development Project of the Year Award for VYV. Dresdner now looks to continue its award-caliber work on regional projects. It recently completed engineering and general design work on a $25 million expansion project for Baldor Specialty Foods in the South Bronx, expanding the bustling facility to 270,000 square feet, which adds approximately 300 new jobs.
