TURNING A MACARONI FACTORY INTO RESIDENTIAL UNITS

The former Mueller’s Elbow Macaroni factory will soon be home to a four-building residential complex, at 180 Baldwin. This project consists of two 7-story buildings and two 25-story residential buildings, both with ground floor commercial space, plus a 2-story parking structure below the buildings.

Dresdner Robin provided due diligence investigations, zoning analysis, site engineering, roadway design, and expert witness testimony for the complex. As the main landscape architect, we made use of each square foot of space, providing streetscape, lighting, and pavement design along Baldwin Avenue and High Street. We also designed a one-acre Central Courtyard, which included decorative pavements, trees and lawn areas, a trellised terrace, site furnishings, privacy walks, and an extensive planting plan.
