INSPIRATION FROM THE GROUND UP
It was a former rail and industrial Brownfield site in the middle of Jersey City when Dresdner Robin stepped in to help create Berry Lane Park – Jersey City’s largest city-owned park and its first new park in over 50 years. Now a vibrant public space, Berry Lane has transformed the area, providing badly needed active and passive recreation for the city and its residents.
The community’s needs were assessed and fully incorporated into the park through a series of public meetings and charrettes. We performed survey, environmental services, landscape architecture design, and site-civil engineering for the final construction documents and provided bid support and construction administration services for each of the four phases completed to date.
Jersey City can now claim an additional 635 trees and a 9% increase in usable green space as well as the athletic fields the community was desperately missing.
